We believe in being connected.
State College, PA is great place to be with great providers. Please reach out and we would be happy to hear from you.
If you wish to consult about a case or referral while avoiding phone tag, you can schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation (Dr. Yamasaki only)
We take referrals for psychotherapy and insomnia treatment. It seems to work best if the client calls us (814-954-7607), and if you also fax over referral information so we have a clear idea of your reason for referring. Our voicemail is updated regularly to reflect openings, or you can sign up for our email announcements about openings. If you are referring for insomnia treatment, feel free to share this handout.
Testing referrals: We currently only schedule returning testing clients.
Psychologists wanting to join us
We have an opening for a new therapist in our office starting January 2020!
Our aim is to be a place where psychologists get quickly connected with their ideal clients, but without the burden of figuring out insurance and unknowns. We provide a fully-furnished office space, online scheduling/billing, automated appointment reminders, free parking, and malpractice insurance. Group insurance paneling makes it easy to start.
We are most interested in therapists who are welcoming of diversity, enthusiastic experts in their work, highly conscientious, and willing to engage fully in case consultation. A mindful personal style is essential. We welcome a variety of areas of expertise.
If this sounds interesting to you, we hope you will contact us. Apply here and have your LinkedIn profile updated with at least basics.
Health and Wellness Professionals
We are interested in finding creative ways to connect our clients to services beyond traditional psychotherapy. We realize that we aren't experts in everything, so we want to help clients be in touch with other professionals. Feel free to contact us.
Part of our mission is also to provide mentorship in the pursuit of strong clinical training and practice. We offer an internship, which includes one-on-one mentorship about clinical practice. It requires a split of time between learning about clinical work in psychology and helping with office duties, including basic office practices. Whenever possible, one-on-one time is tailored to the student's specific interests.
Interns are held to high standards of professionalism, including familiarity with HIPAA and other aspects of confidentiality in a clinical setting. Four hours per week is the minimum amount of time required.
Fall 2019/Spring 2020: We are full and not accepting applications at this time. Check back in the future with us to see if we have openings.
If applying, email us a statement about why you are interested an internship, how many hours per week is your ideal, your availability, and an updated copy of your resume with GPA. We will respond promptly. Email address for applicants only: email@example.com
